Rogaine (Regaine) Consultation
Important Information for Patients using Rogaine (Regaine) Topical Solution
Rogaine (Regaine) Solution must only be used for application to the scalp. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth and broken skin. Rogaine must not be taken by mouth.
Rogaine usually needs to be used for up to four months before evidence of hair growth can be expected. Hair loss will begin again within a few months after Rogaine treatment is stopped. Treatment should be stopped if hair re-growth is not evident after 12 months of treatment.
Rogaine should be applied to a dry scalp and the solution allowed to dry naturally. Rogaine should not be used 24 hours before or after hair treatments such as color or perm. Sunscreens should be applied at least two hours after the application of Rogaine, and shampooed off before the next application. Hats must not be worn for at least an hour after applying Rogaine.
Patients should stop using Rogaine Solution and seek immediate medical attention if experiencing any or the following: rapid heart rate, rapid weight gain, swelling or fluid retention, dizziness, chest or shoulder pains.
